Description

Paul Heussenstamm (American, b. 1949) Mandala Fruit Tree Paul Heussenstamm’s vibrant sacred art often features his signature motif, the mandala, a mystical symbol many see as a doorway to the soul. Heussenstamm believes that soul patterns are manifested in mandalas, which have played a role in Eastern spiritual development for centuries and are widely favored as meditational focal points. Here he positions a bevy of small mandalas like fruit on a tree, creating a boisterous display of color and joy for this 500-piece jigsaw puzzle.

Artist

Paul Heussenstamm

Fourth-generation artist Paul Heussenstamm (American, b. 1949) grew up in a home filled with art and books. Conversations about spirituality engaged his family and their guests. Through his studies and travels he witnessed the beauty and diversity of life and the subtle inner unity among all beings. Dozens of trips to Hawaii imprinted on him the lush colors that would later be reflected in his artwork. A surfer since the age of 12, Heussenstamm became a successful businessman and owner of Newport Surf & Sport, a fixture of the California surfing scene. In his midthirties he began to paint. Since then, he has created thousands of unique and spiritual paintings, and the mandala has become his signature motif. Great fun

I find the challenge to reward ratio perfect with this 500 piece puzzle. I had been doing 1000 piece puzzles, but found they took too long and weren’t as much fun...

Well - there went the first version of my review into the ether!
I only remarked that I love Heussenstamm’s colors, and am looking forward to working the Mandala Fruit Tree as soon as the season calms down!
Also, everything in that order arrived in perfect condition, as is normal for Pomegranate. I so admired the masterful job someone did of packing my order. Do you train your people initially on jigsaw puzzles?? Pomegranate is The Best!

A Lovely Tree

This puzzle is lovely to look at! The blues in the background were an adequate challenge and the detail I love the most is in the trunk and branches of the tree.
